Places for Big Rigs

QUEENSLAND

KINGSTHORPE
(Approx. 25 min NE of Toowoomba). Property Owners are Huw and Annette Griffiths. They are looking forward to welcoming 'The Big Rigs Clan' to their place!

FREE to stay (When power is required for repairs etc. a donation is appreciated!) If any BigRigsClan Members want to volunteer their skills/expertise to help with the general upkeep of this small farm, they will become instant friend of Huw and Anette and may wind up receiving fair-dinkum mates rates - free chook eggs, fruit and veggies too!

The farm is 300 acres and Huw breeds Santa Gertrudas and Annette love her gardens.

Telstra wireless broadband reception is excellent, so too is digital TV reception. There is a dump point, access to rain and bore water and should power be required for repairs, etc. then arrangement can be made.
IGA, Mitre 10 and ATM's are well represented in Oakey, which is only 6km from the farm gate. Darling Downs CMCA Chapter meetings are held here a couple of times a year (the last one had 68 motorhomes parked up!)

Here is a link to a google map to show location, otherwise if further help is needed in finding the place, please feel free to call BRC Members - Jenny or Dave on 0438 763 748

SYDNEY - ST IVES

The showgrounds at St.Ives, north of Sydney, was only $20.00 per night (May, 2011). Great place to walk the dogs inside the main arena complete with doggie 'poop' bags. For the kids there is 3 play grounds. Manager comes around and collects the fees.

When leaving if the roads are busy and you want to head back towards the Pacific Highway, it is better to turn left out the showgrounds, get in the right hand lane and continue east for a kilometer or so to the AusLink industrial estate.  This will take you under the west bound lanes of Mona Vale Road. Make a U- turn at the round-a-bout and come back on to the west bound Mona Vale Road.
